Classic Blue is the Pantone color of 2020
Classic Blue is the Pantone color of 2020, it is now official.

That’s why Pantone chose Classic Blue:
“We are living in a time that requires trust and faith. It is this kind of constancy and confidence that is expressed by PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue, a solid and dependable blue hue we can always rely on, imbued with a deep resonance, PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue provides an anchoring foundation. A boundless blue evocative of the vast and infinite evening sky, PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue encourages us to look beyond the obvious to expand our thinking; challenging us to think more deeply, increase our perspective and open the flow of communication.”
Leatrice Eiseman – Pantone Color Institute Executive Director ”
The choice of a color that inspires hope is certainly comforting with the news we are reading these days. In addition, it is a beautiful color, among the timeless classics, which can be declined in many variations.
Brides 2020 are lucky because it is easy to use Classic Blue in their wedding palette. In fact, blue is one of wedding classic colors. Blue is perfect for Groom’s suit, it decors tablecloths, cakes, bouquets and even the bride, considering the tradition to wear “something blue”.
I tried to imagine some wedding palettes that can be a starting point from which you can build your special day, adapting it, as always, to your style, the season and the chosen location, in order to harmonize all the elements as the colors of a painting.
On Pinterest you can find the board with all images used in the mood boards and many more other images. This is the link so you can be inspired.
Blue, pink and gold
I start from a romantic palette, with a spring allure. Maybe some of you are defining the details of your wedding this spring and maybe you are interested in how you can use the Pantone 2020 color in your wedding palette.
I chose to mix blue with two shades of pink and gold to create a precious and extremely romantic proposal.

Classic Blue, gray dust
In the second palette, blue is together with light pearl gray, light blue and green. This palette reminds me of the spring days when the sky turns blue after a storm and nature flourish again.
I chose a light blue wedding dress, for a contemporary but extremely romantic wedding, like in a fairy tale.

Summer breeze. Classic Blue
The third palette reminds me of the colors of the sea, the white light, a pink and a light blue pastel, almost impalpable, as dusty from the sand.
These colors contrast with the bright white of the wedding dress, as light as it is necessary on hot summer days, sensual and contemporary.

Classic Blue, white, coral
The fourth palette plays with contrasts: blue and coral, which was the Pantone color of 2019. You can also decline this palette with fuchsia, perhaps with a wedding inspired by the colors of Greece, with bougainvillea with its vibrant fuchsia on optical white and, of course, Classic Blue.
A summer wedding, cheerful and elegant.

Classic blue, vibrant yellow
Finally, the latest proposal has Classic Blue with a bright yellow, softened by pink and light blue for a cheerful, sweet and romantic wedding.

What do you think about these proposals with the Pantone color of 2020? Would you use blue in your wedding palette? Write it in the comments!
I love blue and the theme with tiles, so I dedicated some stationery set to blue with tiles decor.
